Why Entrepreneurs Need To Get a Focus of Interest and Stick with It

Via LinkedIn : By reading this post, you’ll learn why entrepreneurs need to get a focus of interest and stick with it.

You need to get a focus of interest because if you don’t, you’re going to be all over the place with your ideas, and when you’re all over the place with your ideas, you have no focus… and when you have no focus, you’re setting yourself up to have limited success.

HAVE SUCCESS

The idea is to have success in your entrepreneurial endeavor, not to be all over place running in ten different directions, never knowing what to focus on next, and feeling like you’re stuck in a never ending hamster wheel. You need focus, because it’s going to put you in a position in which you can begin to have some successes in regards to growing your business.

AT THE START

As an entrepreneur, at least when you’re starting out, you want to have a laser beam focus on your idea, and you want to become the go-to authoritative resource that your target market turns to when they have questions they want to get answered.

BE SPECIFIC

The only way that you’re going to have a chance to become an authoritative resource in your niche, is by having a specific focus of interest… you don’t want to be the jack-of-all trades… you want to be the jack-of-your trade.

TWO DIFFERENT LIGHTS

You need to think of your focus of interest in two different lights… a flashlight and a laser beam.

  • The first focus of interest light is like a flashlight. It shines on a very broad space, but you’re NOT able to clearly see what you’re aiming for.
  • The second focus of interest light is like a laser beam. It shines on a very small and direct space, and you see what you’re looking at crystal clear.

Hopefully you’re starting to get the idea here… it’s all about focus.
